Clear Skin

I'm sure every woman wants picture perfect skin, and have tried every single face product and still nothing ever seems to work, because beauty starts from within, literally. We need to take care of our body from inside for beauty to radiate.

Here are six easy steps below to achieve a beautiful clear skin.

1. Drink plenty of water.

This is a very important step, and it is good for your overall health. If you're dehydrated, your skin will look dull, dry, flaky, saggy, and loose.

2. Eat foods with lots of antioxidants.

Eat dark chocolate (yes, you can use this as an excuse to eat more chocolate, yum). Purple grapes, nuts, seeds, dark green leafy vegetables—such as spinach, kale, and lettuce—Organic green tea, blueberries, wolf berries.

3. Avoid sugar.

Eating too much sugar leads to damaged collagen and elastin, which causes wrinkles and saggy skin.

4. Sleep

Make sure that you get seven to eight hours of sleep a night. When you get quality sleep your skin rejuvenates and repair itself, and you wake up looking bright and fresh.

5. Exercise

Exercise help cut stress, and helps your skin by increasing your blood circulation, which sends oxygen to your skin cells, But take a shower after exercising, because the sweat can cause a breakout.

6. Relieve stress.

High levels of stress will compromise your skin. Do stuff that relaxes you: meditate, get a massage, consider yoga, or maybe a walk to the beach or park.

Here are three easy home remedies that really work.

1) Lemon and Baking Soda

This is great for hyperpigmentation, dark spots, blotches, and hard to get rid of acne scars. It is a simple paste, made with ingredients that I'm sure you might have in your kitchen and.or bathroom. Here's how to make it. You will need,

  • Small bowl
  • A spoon
  • A Half of lemon
  • 1 tbsp baking soda

Place the baking soda into the bowl, add lemon juice slowly, only adding a small amount at a time. The reason for this is that you want more of a thick creamy consistency instead of it being runny. If you added too much lemon juice, just add a bit more baking soda.

To apply, simply use your fingers and dab on the affected area. For exfoliation, rub gently in small circular motions. Leave on for ten minutes and rinse with luke\warm water, then finish by splashing some cool water on your face.

Don't be too harsh, because this mixture is already acidic and will burn your skin if you rub too hard or leave the mixture on your skin for too long.

2) Tumeric and Honey

This is a remedy for bright and glowy looking skin. To make this you need a:

  • small bowl
  • 1 tbsp tumeric powder
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp milk or yogurt

To apply this, use your fingers or a makeup brush. For exfoliation, use fingers to rub in circular motions. Leave this mask to sit for ten to fifteen minutes, then rinse with warm water and pat dry with a clean face towel.

Beware that this mask does leave a bit of yellow tint/ stain, so I would recommend you do this a day before you have any plans of going out.

3) Hydrogen Peroxide

This is a very simple and might be an easy way to get rid of a pimple overnight. I tried this a couple times and it works 90 percent of the time.

You need:

  • Q-tip
  • Bottle of hydrogen peroxide
  • Face wash

To apply, all you have to do is wash your face with a very cleansing and moisturizing face wash. Dry your face and use a q-tip to dab onto pimple. This will hopefully dry out the pimple so it will be flat enough to apply makeup over it.

Combining healthy eating, exercising, and overall just taking good care of yourself, along with good products or remedies, in no time you will have clear and beautiful skin.

These are some of the steps that helped me, give them a try. I hope it helps you also, and remember: patience is key. If done two to three times a week, it will likely take as quick as the third week to see results.
