My Favourite Lush Products

(So Far!)

Lush is a great brand if you're looking for amazing quality, organic, cruelty-free skincare. I have temperamental skin, and so my skin freaks out at the slightest change in routine. But Lush products are not harsh on the skin, and are gentle enough to use on sensitive skin.

My first favourite product is the Tea Tree Toner Water. It comes in a spray bottle and is fantastic for leaving your skin hydrated, and feeling clean and balanced. It can be used as a step in your normal skincare routine before applying makeup or at the end of the day, but can also be used as a refresher throughout the day. It can be sprayed directly on the face, or can be sprayed onto cotton pads and used the same as a liquid toner. It contains tea tree, which is good for breakouts and oily skin. Tea tree is also an antibacterial, antiseptic and antimicrobial, which makes it useful for wounds or skin conditions. It also contains grapefruit water, which gives a nice refreshing feel to the skin.

My second favourite product is the None of Your Beeswax lip balm. This is my most used Lush product. It is great for preventing chapped lips during winter and keeping lips hydrated. It has a lemony taste but is not overpowering. It is ideal for wearing under liquid-to-matte lipsticks to prevent that dry, cracked feeling that liquid-to-matte lipsticks often leave. It comes in a small, compact pot that can fit easily into your pockets, making it easy to remember to apply.

The next product on my favourites list is the Charity Pot hand and body lotion. This product is perfect for keeping your hands hydrated. It is non-greasy and dries in quickly. It has a faint smell, but the scent is fresh and clean, and not overpowering. It comes in a variety of sizes, including a lip balm-sized pot, which is perfect for keeping in your bag to use as hand lotion throughout the day. Other than being an amazing product, by buying the Charity Pot, you support great causes, such as education, homelessness, and tons of other amazing charities.

One of Lush's best sellers is their Lip Scrubs. And for good reason. They are amazing at removing dead skin and creating a smooth base for lipstick. They come in a variety of flavours, so you don't have to feel too guilty about licking them off your lips! Unlike other lip scrubs I've tried, they don't leave your lips feeling dry afterwards. There's almost no need to apply lip balm to rehydrate your lips.

Another one of Lush's best sellers and what they are most famous for, other than their bath bombs, are their amazing face masks. My personal favourite is the Mask of Magnaminty face mask. This is one of the first Lush products I tried and it helped my acne-prone teenage skin so much. It is a tad messy, but the results are thoroughly worth it. Due to the freshness of the ingredients, it does have a strong mint smell, but it works wonders on helping balance your skin and keep it looking fresh and clean.

Lush is a great advocate for fighting against animal testing, and mark their bottles, pots, and bags with the label. They also have a (mostly) vegan line, and lots of products made with fresh ingredients. They have recently introduced a Naked Line, where you can get your favourite products in a solid form without packaging to reduce carbon footprint. Their products also come with a lovely sticker, with an illustration and name of the person who created the contents of that bottle/pot, along with the date it was made and the use by date. This ensures that you are aware of just how fresh the product is, and when exactly to use it by. No more guessing when the labelled six months are over! Lush also has a Not Virgin program, where you return fic clean Lush pots or tubes and get one free fresh face mask.
