Bad Skin Be Gone, I Say!

Three hundred gazillion dollars later I said, "Fuck it, Cleo Cartel it is time to make a facial system for beautiful women of every hue that is simple to use, with ingredients that users could actually pronounce and a price point that was budget friendly to all users. God and the ancestors know that I have purchased and tried everything under the sun from charcoal masks to baby urine facials.(No, for real. Okay I didn't, but I know some folks who have.) To no avail, still bad skin. Some yelled out it's your diet. Well, I yelled back, IM SUCKING UP VEGGIES AND WATER, duhhhhh and my skin is still not where I would like it to be.

In about 1999, I created an incredible body lotion called Bodybling and it has been a mainstay and flagship in our line Yummigoodz. I just got really tired of my mom complaining about her dry skin from rheumatoid arthritis and not being able to find something that soothed the cracking and dryness. "Mom," I said with all this knowledge of skin and hair (licensed skin care consultant and cosmetologist) "there is no reason why I can't make you something amazing." That I did. Bodybling was an all natural plant based oil lotion dynamic dual that served her very needs.

Mother said, "I can't recall my skin feeling this good!" I began to dig deeper into the idea and creation of all organic and natural ingredients for the shampoos and conditioners in my salon. Our clients loved them and the difference in the appearance of their scalps and the condition of the hair shaft was major. We just discovered that sulfate/chemical free hair products were the best for our clientele. So, we continued fine tuning and producing them. I then decided about seven years ago to start growing most of our ingredients on some acreage we had and believe me it was the most enlightening thing I ever decided to do with my life and my time. I became one with plants. I harvested, studied, dried, extracted oils and created some of the most healing ingredients ever.

In my practice I started to become aware of something that I didn't like and wanted to tackle head on. The discovery of myself and some of clients skin disorders. Some had very bad acne, some white and black heads that were out of control. Some with combination skin and some with just really bad pigmentation like myself. I did know one thing after chatting with some clients that we suffered from mild to severe skin dehydration, but also deprived of the nutrients of a good plant based system. As if we had both been struck by lightening my favorite client says, "YOU NEED TO CREATE SOMETHING" and that I did.
