Banana Hair? Don't Care!

My hair care routine

If you want to smell like a fruit salad all day then you're in luck!

Hair care is one of the hardest routines to find out exactly what is right for you own individual hair!

Well ladies and maybe gents, if you want to give this a go, I have found my perfect hair care routine!

Before I start this post I do have to point out that yes I do work for The Body Shop; but this is not a sponsored post. I genuinely love these products so much that I think they deserve to be noticed. I also truly believe that this routine has helped with the growth of my hair and its health. This is coming from a girl who went from having dark chocolate brown hair, to all over blonde hair, and THEN she went back to dark chocolate brown hair AGAIN! I swear we are never really 100 percent happy with our hair colour, but this routine made me happy with my hairs health, that's for sure.

First things first what you will need:

🍌A Hair Brush

🍌The Body Shop Bamboo Comb

🍌The Body Shop Banana Shampoo

🍌The Body Shop Banana Conditioner

🍌The Body Shop Banana Hair Mask

🍌Its a Ten Miracle Plus Leave In spray

Before you start; brush your hair through with your hair brush starting from the end of your hair, and then from the roots down. Brushing all the ends out first allows you to get all of the most tangled parts out, which leads to a clean brush from roots to end.

Once that is done, hop in the shower, and apply The Body Shops Banana Shampoo, rub into the roots only and then rinse out.

Then apply The Body Shops Banana Conditioner into the ends of your hair, grab your Bamboo Comb and comb through the Conditioner, until you can feel that all the hair is silky smooth. Using a Comb allows the hair to mix with the Conditioner more and it leaves your hair feeling extra silky! I usually tie my hair up in a bun at this point and then shave my legs etc, to let the Conditioner REALLY sink in! Once that’s all done rinse it out!

When you are out of the shower put The Banana Hair Mask in the bottom of your hair again like you did with the conditioner. Put your hair up in a tight bun and let it dry for a bit before going to bed! (We don’t want your pillows getting all greasy do we?)

In the morning hop into the shower and rinse the mask out. I am telling you right now your hair will be feeling AMAZING! I will then use the "It’s a Ten Miracle Leave In Spray" and brush my hair through, once again from bottom to top!

After that girl, (or boy?) 🙌🏼 you are ready to go! Release that mane! Or in the wise words of Willow Smith "Whip YOUR hair back and forth," and show the world your lush new look!

Other tips that I would suggest to improve your hair health:

• Sleeping on a silk pillowcase

(The fibres on the pillowcases don’t catch onto your hair when you move, this prevents more hair splitting and breaking.)

• Avoid using a brush when your hair is wet.

(Use a comb as it can part the hairs in wider sections and avoid breakage.)

• Use a heat protection spray before straitening or curling your hair.

• Do not use a towel to dry your hair.

(The fibres on the towel can hold onto your hair and create more damage, especially when your hair is wet. Try and find a microfiber head towel to wrap your hair into after washing.)
