This is one of my favourite looks that I've posted on my beauty Instagram. It was inspired by everyone's favourite Hispanic little girl—Dora the Explorer! I'll put a list of products below:

EYES:

  • Nyx Pallete in "Brights"
  • Terracotta Pallete
  • LA Girl Pro Concealer in "Fawn"
  • Poundland Gold Glitter Eyeliner
  • Poundland Black Eyeliner
  • MUA Cosmetics White Kohl Pencil
  • Revolution Makeup Highlighter in "Rainbow"
  • Fashion Faith Eyelashes

EYEBROWS:

  • MUA Cosmetics Eyebrow Pencil in "Black/Brown"
  • LA Pro Concealer "Chestnut"
  • Revolution Makeup Highlight in "Rainbow"

Although this is one of my favourite looks, when I did this my eyebrows were still in the early development stage so if you want to see an eyebrow development/glo-up then just let me know!

The eye makeup I did is called a semi-circular cut crease because of the shimmery-brown shade in the middle, to do this you have to use your concealer to create a crisp semi-circular shape from your inner corner to the outer corner of your eye. It's harder than it sounds because it is really hard to make a perfect semi-circle shape so one of my TOP TIPS is working with a small flat brush, and just using small strokes to control your movements and the shape you're trying to create.

One of the hardest things that I found was trying to get a good pigment out of the yellow eyeshadow, especially on my darker skin tone. One of my TOP TIPS for getting a solid colour out of the yellow is to go in a circular patting motion instead of a windshield motion because this for me is what helps to build up the colour and layer it so that it's more opaque and pigmented.

On Youtube, there are a lot of people trying out Poundland makeup and a lot of critics saying that it's not pigmented or opaque and that it's very sheer. A trick to this is that Poundland facial makeup is not very good, there isn't a range and there's not really a stability to it because, like Hello?? IT COSTS A POUND! Like, do you expect it to have the same quality as ABH makeup or Lancome foundation? But one thing I've noticed is that the pencils and eyeliners are very pigmented and thick. One of the only problems I had with the gold glitter eyeliner is that there was too much gold pigment and that the consistency wasn't great so you kind of have to dab it in one area and spread it out from there to make sure it's flat before going back into the bottle.

My eyelashes are from the brand Fashions Faith which is an Instagram based brand. These are one of my favourite eyelashes because they just look so fluffy and natural-looking, the only thing was that the lashes were too long for my eyes and kept poking the inner corner of my eye. But this could easily be fixed by trimming the eyelashes. When you trim eyelashes you want to trim them from the outer corner because then they look more natural and fit you better. One of the things that I really don't like is putting on mascara because I always end up getting it on my eyeshadow and IDK 'BOUT YOU BUT I HATE IT... So one of the things I did to counteract that is to wear my lashes underneath my actual lash line, this also makes it look more natural and hides your natural eyelashes in case you forgot to use mascara or you just don't want too!

Thank you guys for reading my blog, and if you have any questions, then feel free to ask!
