Getting the Best From Your Winter Facial Products

Radiant skin is important no matter what season we are in. But as we are going into winter, for some of us, our skin starts begging for more moisture! I know my skin asks for it. So I will talk a little about what I’m using every day to get my glowing skin in the picture above (left to right).

Ole Henriksen’s Clean Truth Foaming Cleanser is heaven! It is a thick frothy cleanser to help brighten skin and remove make up without stripping our natural moisture. Although, I wouldn’t suggest this as a makeup remover as it did not remove it as it states. However, I’ve been using this cleanser for half a year now and I cannot get enough of it. I feel like this is an everyday cleanser that does its job. The foam is really soft, lightweight, and smells great. It does not leave a heavy or dry feeling afterward. It’s made with African red tea extract and vitamin C to help purify, hydrate, and make your skin look and feel alive. It’s known to help dryness and dullness to the skin. Also, it is formulated without parabens, sulfates, and phthalates.

Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! I cannot stress this enough: exfoliating your skin is crucial. By exfoliating, you are practically scrubbing the dead skin off your face and makes it feel oh so smooth! Ole Henriksen’s Pore-Balance Facial Sauna Scrub is delightful. This product is a double-action warming and cooling facial scrub that also has glycolic and lactic acids, which help with those unwanted blemishes. Which is the best part about this scrub; I enjoy the warm sensation while rubbing it on my face. So, if you’re not a fan of that, most definitely skip this product. Use it 1 to 3 times a week morning or night. I noticed the product minimized my pores and reduced the oil my skin overly produces.

I’ve never used facial water before, that is until my friend introduced this to me. Ole Henriksen’s Grease Relief is great if you have oily/combination skin. As mentioned, there are moments my skin gets severely oily and this Grease Relief tones it down throughout the day. I must say I have no complaints whatsoever. To apply, spray five sprays into a cotton ball and apply it to your face and neck. This product can be used alone as a moisturizer or if not enough, apply your general moisturizer after you put the product on. Also, it helps as a toner! For example, I have hyper pigmentation and it helps even out my skin tone! So, if you have hyper pigmentation, this should help your skin tone. Definitely a great product!

Last but not least, Ole Henriksen’s Invigorating Night Treatment helps with dullness, uneven texture, dark spots, fine lines, and wrinkles. The cooling gel texture is super lightweight that absorbs quickly, and even delivers hydration to the skin. I love how this product leaves a dewy finish. Really does hydrate your skin! You will see results night after night. Also, this product helps with acne. If you suffer with severe acne like I do, then I would highly suggest this product!
