One of the most unavoidable truths about growing up is that we will all end up aging. Even the most beautiful supermodel will get wrinkles, lose skin elasticity, and start looking her age. It's bad news that you just need to learn to embrace.
Don’t despair. There is some good news. Science has made it possible to fight back against many of the aspects that cause skin to age, wrinkle, and thin out. The more you fight back, the longer your skin will remain healthy and youthful.
Fighting back against aging often means that you need to tackle each issue individually in order to get the best results. That’s why companies like GLAUX CHEM® look at each issue when creating skin-saving products. Here’s how you can fight Father Time and win.
The first thing you’re going to need to do is avoid your skin thinning out due to keratin loss.
Keratin is the wonder compound that keeps your hair, nails, and skin thick. It’s one of the most important compounds to keeping yourself looking young. It’s what protects your skin against bruises, cuts, and scrapes.
Unfortunately, part of the aging process means that your skin will stop having as much keratin in it. This leads to thinner skin and more wrinkles. Studies have shown that using pomegranate seed oil, which is rich in punicic acid, oleic acid, and linolenic acid, helps increase the amount of keratin in your skin.
You also will start losing natural fats when you age, and this can cause dry skin.
Did you ever notice how many older people have bone-dry skin? It’s not a coincidence. When people age, they lose the natural fats in their skin that keep their moisture levels up. This often leads to dry, itchy, and scaly skin—especially when you’re over 65.
Using a product like GLAUX CHEM® can help replace the moisture levels that are lost when you age. This gives you the nice, supple glow that younger people have.
Aging also causes a reduction in melanin.
Melanin is known as the “tanning compound” in skin that gives you a darker tone. It’s your natural sunblock and helps protect you against the damage (and wrinkling) that comes with light exposure. As you age, the levels of melanin you have tend to drop.
When you don’t have melanin, you become more at risk of damage due to sunlight—and this includes wrinkles, sun spots, as well as bagginess. That’s why it’s best to stay out of the sun if you are naturally pale.
Of course, you can’t always stay out of light. When you can’t, it’s best to prevent further damage. Using sunscreen is an obvious way to fight against sun damage, but there are other things you can do too.
Hemp seed oil may help prevent the damage caused by UV radiation, which reduces the harm sunburns cause. You can thank its high levels of beta carotene and chlorophyll for that!
Being more prone to UV radiation is that it seriously harms your skin.
As you age, your skin problems tend to multiply—especially if you spent time outside. UV radiation causes cellular damage, puts you at risk of melanoma, and also has been linked to lowered levels of elastin and collagen.
The main culprit of UV radiation problems are due to the way it creates free radicals in your skin. Thankfully, free radicals can be mitigated by nourishing your skin with high levels of vitamin E, beta carotene, chlorophyll, and cannabidiol.
A product like the Face and Body Moisturizing Oil from GLAUX CHEM® has all these compounds, thanks to its high levels of pomegranate seed oil and hemp seed oil. Just adding a little to your daily routine is all it takes to fight back.
Collagen starts to decrease the more you age.
Collagen is one of the biggest anti-aging compounds known to man, and it’s usually what makes all the difference. This is the main protein that makes up anywhere from 75 to 80 percent of your skin’s structure. As you lose collagen, wrinkles appear and your ability to keep your skin taut fades away.
Fighting this is tricky. A diet that’s rich in nutrients like vitamin E, vitamin C, and selenium can help. Vitamin C, in particular, is necessary for collagen production—as is hydration. Using a moisturizer that hydrates and offers up a punch of vitamin C can help you get more collagen into your skin.
Hemp seed oil, carrot seed oil, and pomegranate oil all work wonders for this. You don’t even have to eat them to get their benefits. Just applying them directly to your skin works wonders.
As collagen drops, so does elastin.
Elastin is a compound that works hand in hand with collagen, and much like collagen, is necessary for youthful skin. Elastin is what keeps your skin’s ability to bounce back intact, and aids in helping skin recover from scratches and scrapes.
With elastin, your best bet is to keep your skin hydrated. Since elastin binds to moisture in your skin, it’s better to make the most of whatever elastin you have left. A good moisturizer can do wonders here.
Finally, getting your skin to heal gets harder with age.
As your main youth-enhancing compounds wane with age, another major issue starts to become apparent. Your skin will stop being able heal as quickly and efficiently from minor things like cuts and scrapes. This makes you more prone to scars and long-time scabs.
The best way to help your skin fight scarring is to take good care of yourself, and use products that have been linked to better healing results like the ones from GLAUX CHEM®.
