I am 30 years old, and ever since I was 12, I have struggled with acne. My skin has always been a mess, even during times when most people's’ skin seemed to calm down. When I started to get into my 20s, I assumed that the acne would subside, but no, I wasn’t that lucky.
Recently, I decided that I needed a change. Either the acne goes, or I hit up a dermatologist. I didn't have much money set aside, so I made a point of trying one last over the counter treatment before I called it quits.
I decided to take a look at something that had science-backed data on its ingredients. GLAUX CHEM®’s Face and Body Oil was what I chose, primarily because it’s a natural, fragrance-free oil that was created using ingredients proven to help acne and other skin problems.
Here’s what ended up happening.
Let’s talk about why I chose this oil.
As part of this resolution, I looked around the net and found GLAUX CHEM®’s Face and Body Oil. This product was developed by a chemist who studied the effects of different oils on skin quality and tone.
The magic that made GLAUX CHEM® so popular can be found in its all-natural ingredients list. Specifically, this oil contains cold-pressed unrefined hemp, pomegranate, and carrot seed oils.
All three oils have high concentrations of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E, and anti-inflammatory compounds. Omega-3 fatty acids are excellent for reducing sun damage, decreasing inflammation, and also keeping skin moisturized.
Certain compounds in hemp oil have also been proven to be incredibly useful for acne. CBD, for example, has been shown to curb the increase in pre-acne buildups. This, in turn, means that CBD curbs the occurrence of acne by stopping it in its tracks.
My skin was oily and part of me worried that it’d be an issue.
My oily skin was an issue that made me leery of trying it, but science actually proved me wrong. Apparently, this is a time when you may want to fight fire with fire—or in this case, oil with oil.
Studies have also shown that oils are actually better for acne than alcohols. Alcohols and other similar compounds dry out skin and promote irritation. Since acne is caused by an imbalance in skin’s oil glands, having an oil that balances things out is a huge deal.
The first impression I had was pretty interesting.
When I got the bottle, I was pretty surprised. It was a small, stylish bottle that seemed so unassuming. I squirted some out of the pump and patted it between my palms. It felt thick, but quickly melted into my skin, leaving my hands feeling baby soft.
One thing that surprised me was the initial scent. It had a slightly herbal smell that almost immediately vanished after a minute or two.
I dabbed it on twice a day, in the morning and night, after I washed my skin.
As a chronic acne sufferer, I didn’t feel comfortable giving up my skin cleaning routine. So, I would dab the oil on my face and shoulders after I cleaned it using my typical skincare routine.
I found that the water from my cleansing routine would open up my pores and make it easier for the oil to absorb into my skin. Almost immediately after the oil would sink in, I’d feel my skin soften up. It was actually pretty hard to stop touching my face at first.
Within a couple of days, I started to notice that my acne was clearing up.
Well, perhaps “clearing up” wasn’t the right term to say quite yet. My pimples were still there; they didn’t vanish overnight. Yet, there was a lot less redness on and around my face. The pimples I had didn’t jut out as much as they usually do, either.
Though my skin wasn’t totally clear after the first couple of days, it was clear that something was working. This was enough to make me feel confident enough to keep going with my new routine.
A week in, I noticed that my skin was even softer.
For the first day or so, the softness that GLAUX CHEM®’s Face and Body Oil gave me would simply vanish by midday. I thought that was going to stay the case, until my boyfriend touched my face a week later and remarked that it had gotten much softer.
I touched my skin again. It was then I noticed that my face had gotten a lot less oily and a lot calmer. So far, so good.
I kept using it religiously. Here’s what happened after a couple of weeks.
Within a couple of weeks, I had noticed that my acne was beginning to die down. What was normally a major breakout area started to look far less severe. Day after day, my skin was becoming clearer and more beautiful. For the first time in my adult life, I was starting to feel naturally beautiful!
A cool thing I noticed about this oil was how makeup reacted to it.
If you have ever dealt with oily acne-riddled skin, you already know that getting makeup to stay put is a nightmare. Acne makes makeup look awkward, or in some really bad situations, literally flake off your skin. Oily skin often will cause makeup to slide off, or worse, turn into grease.
Three weeks into my oil-based routine, I no longer had the issue of flaking makeup or greasy looks. My makeup started to stay put and look better for longer. Needless to say, my interest in buying makeup suddenly ballooned.
Acne wasn’t the only thing to disappear.
As you can imagine, two decades of acne will lead to more than just a couple of scars. My face and shoulders were pretty heavily riddled with them, each a little pockmark that reminded me of how long I struggled with taming my skin. My scars were a longtime source of embarrassment, and surprisingly, I found a solution in GLAUX CHEM®.
By week three, I started to notice that the discoloration I had on my more recent acne marks started to fade away. By six, a lot of the scars I had stopped feeling rough and started to look more like freckles.
Overall, I was loving the results.
My skin isn’t perfect, but it’s far better than it used to be. It looks like normal, healthy skin. It feels super soft and looks great with makeup. GLAUX CHEM®’s Face and Body Oil was the best investment I ever made in my skin and actually prevented me from going on a risky prescription routine.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely. It’s a miracle worker!
