Incarcerated Makeup

Do you ever wonder how women and men can look so good while in jail or prison? They have a way to utilize makeup which is not even sold on commissary. They use their simple imagination or get tricks and ideas from others locked up with them.

It is so simple to do that some even carry the idea outside with them given the high prices for real makeup. It takes a few different items depending on which idea you choose. Skittles and M&M's are the best to use, but there is the use of colored pencils as well.

One way is to take some Skittles or M&M's and laying them out under a light to slightly melt them and take the coloring from the shells and use it directly onto your skin. This usually works mainly for eyeshadow or lipstick. The darker colors work for eyeliner. Then you have those who like to use Vaseline with them.

Take the Vaseline and put a thin layer on your eyelid or lips and just rub the candy over the area to be colored. The Vaseline will extract the color placing it wherever you want it. It makes it pretty but also easy to wipe off.

Jail deodorant is another way they can place makeup on themselves. It works pretty much the same way, but it’s mainly used for eyeshadow. No one cares to have deodorant rubbed on their lips. So, they rub it on their eyelids and then rub the candy color of their choice.

I have seen some women who use toothpaste for their lipstick and candy. Not only does it look good, but those lips taste good too. There is no glossy look to it but that is when the Vaseline can come in handy too.

Now, we have coloring pencils which are sold in the commissary. The women take a color they want and scratch a good bit of color on some paper, but wax paper works better like candy or chip packaging. After they get a good bit of color on the paper, they take the Vaseline and place some on their finger before rubbing it to the colored pencil on the paper and it provides a good glossy color for them.

Finally, there is the magazine look. Some women like to use colors from magazines for makeup and coloring pictures because it works the same way and provides more natural looks in color. They take magazines and look through them looking for their favorite color or a color that fits what they're wanting to use it for.

Then, they rub a stick of deodorant over it giving it a good layer before taking their finger and rubbing it to get the color off the page. While they are pulling the color off, they put it where they want it on their body or in their drawing. The deodorant is mainly used for the makeup part and not so much for their pictures.

When using the deodorant, it gives a good-looking color, it is waterproof, yet easy to wash off. Many women use this method because it tends to last a bit longer than the Vaseline and that’s okay.

I have seen women and men getting pretty for visits, and for each other inside the prison and jail for their lock-up girlfriends and boyfriends. It does seem to keep it calmer on the inside with all the women doing each other’s hair and makeup, until a fight breaks out over jealousy.
