Most Efficient Ways of Preventing Acne

While many people have spotless skin, and have never faced a single blemish or any other skin problem, there’s another group of people that are struggling with acne even in their adult life.

Our lifestyles, habits, and diets are the main sources of skin imperfections, so you must pay attention to what you eat and drink, and how you treat your whole body. We’ve singled out a few tips on how to prevent acne and live a happy life.

Wash your face regularly

You must create a skincare routine and stick to it daily. It’s important to start your day by washing your face with a gentle cleanser that’s alcohol and paraben-free, and you must also know your skin type in order to choose the right product. Use warm water for cleansing, but don’t go overboard with face wash, because you shouldn’t be doing it more than twice a day.

Remove makeup

Before bedtime, it’s mandatory to remove all traces of makeup you’ve probably been wearing the whole day. Since we’re not teenagers anymore, we can’t let ourselves go to sleep with makeup on, and not care about the consequences. Makeup that stays on your face until morning will bring you clogged pores that lead to acne, plus your skin will look lifeless and dry. Always keep your makeup-remover pads at hand along with micellar water, according to your skin type.

Go for a treatment

Acne usually appears on the face, and also on the back, and we can’t decide what’s worse. This can be very unpleasant for both women and men, and it can turn into a huge social problem. Due to this major skincare problem, people lose confidence, and feel bad about their looks. If your acne problem continues, even though you’ve been using certain products for their removal, you can always go to the beauty clinic. There are a lot of effective and professional services for women and men, so you can find a beauty clinic in Sydney that is most suitable for your needs. Australian women are known for caring about their skin, and they’re always looking to improve their skin tone and texture. Facial treatments also help with decreasing the size of your pores, and the reduction of fine lines.

Improve your diet

Excessive sugar intake, dairy products, fast food, and alcohol are your worst enemies, because these bad guys are super guilty for your acne problems. To our dismay, chocolate is also one of the main causes of this problem, because chocolate contains milk, sugar, and caffeine, the three main ingredients responsible for acne outbreaks. Luckily, we’re allowed to eat some chocolate from time to time, but try not to exaggerate with your sweet tooth.

Change your habits

Enough sleep, healthy nutrition, a lot of water and physical activity are crucial for your overall health, and a healthy, radiant glow. A balanced diet rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and good fats is essential for healthy skin. A combination of simple exercises, and some quality rest will give your body enough oxygen and energy to feel better and fresh, which will reflect on your face.

Don’t touch your face

Fight the urge to squeeze the pimple, and leave it to dry out by itself. The more you touch your face with dirty hands, the more blemishes will show up. Plus, you’ll ruin your pretty face, and is that what you really want?

Change your sheets once a week

Pillowcases and sheets absorb oil, which leads to congested skin and clogged pores, so you better change them as often as possible.

Keep your phone away from your face

As crazy as it sounds, your cell phone is one of the main reasons why acne appears on your face. Whenever you speak on your phone, the heat on your skin allows the bacteria from the screen to easily penetrate, spread, and cause various irritations and skin infections. So try using the speakerphone whenever you can, or simply don’t let the phone touch your face.

While genetics play the key role when it comes to our skin, we must not fail to take care of our skin every day, and prolong our youthful appearance for as long as possible.
