The Beauty Behind Beauty Samples
First Impression Reviews
Are you tired of buying full sized products just to find out that they don't work for you? I'm here to tell you about a budget friendly option that will allow you to try different products without spending a crazy amount of money on them.
SAMPLES. SAMPLES. SAMPLES.
Samples are so underrated it's a shame. You can buy wholesale lots and bundles of beauty related items off of sites like eBay and Amazon and even on Facebook (Marketplace) at such an inexpensive cost, it'll shock you. Mind you, depending on what kind of samples you prefer, whether you like travel sizes or anything under that, you can easily find tons of fun stuff and brands to discover with a click of a mouse! You can also get some samples from promotional posts on Instagram. Just make sure they're legit and don't ask you to provide any credit card information.
Okay, let's get to this first round of first impressions!

Wow. Wow. Wow. I've tried plenty of moisturizers for my combination skin (dry/oily) and I just have to say, I've fallen in love with this product. The first night I applied it, the soft scent drew me in, and the non-greasy finish caught my attention right away. The morning after, I applied it again and I was shocked to see how much it reduced my redness and left my skin feeling super soft.
Do I recommend this product? Absolutely. Especially if you have sensitive skin. It doesn't irritate the skin or feel heavy with oil at the end of the night. Would I purchase the full size product? If I have the money to splurge on it, yes. But for now, I'll stick to the travel size!
An Internet Sensation Put To The Test!
Name: MakeUp Eraser
Brand: MakeUp Eraser
Purpose: An alternative method for makeup removal.
Rating: 3/5
Review
The concept of this product is pure genius. A reusable towel made specifically to take off any type of makeup from mascara to liquid lipsticks? Sounds magical, right? Well, I'm here to spill some tea. While the sample I received did manage to dissolve my eye make up effectively, I still had to go in and remove the remains with an actual makeup wipe. I'm also not sure how well this would do on the rest of my face seeing as my skin is sensitive and you have to rub the towel in circular motions with warm water. The product is definitely cost-defective since it's supposed to last for 5 years but is the $20 price tag worth it is the question. Keep in mind, I only used the sample, which is only supposed to be for a one time use.
Would I purchase the full size product? Probably not. But mainly because of my skin texture. I got my sample from a promotional post on MakeUp Eraser's Instagram for free and free shipping as well. If you'd like to give it a try for yourself, go on and visit their website.
Did you turn into a unicorn after using this?
Name: Unicorn Glow Hologram Mask
Brand: Soo'AE
Purpose: A sheet mask that provides detoxing and brightening for your skin.
Rating: 2/5
Review
I'm going to be honest and say I'm not a sheet mask type of person. I mainly stick to peel-off masks or the regular clay ones. But I received this in my seasonal Walmart Beauty Box and decided to try it out. While the instructions were clear and the mask was easy to put on, if you're the type that can't help but move a lot, this mask will more than likely slip right off your face. The design itself is pretty fun. I left it on for the amount of time recommended on the back of the packet and used the remaining serum to rub it into my skin. At first my skin felt fine, although I saw no brightening but I'm pretty pale as it is so I kind of brushed that off.
By the end of the day I felt the skin on my jawline starting to get irritated and itchy. Granted I didn't use a toner before I placed the mask on, which is required according to the instructions—my skin was left with a grease-ball effect and I was kind of disappointed. Keep in mind I didn't use a toner, but I'm not sure it would've made that much of a difference in general.
Would I recommend this product? No. Especially if you have super sensitive skin. However, it does hydrate, so if you want something that will provide you with some emergency hydration, then you might want to give this a try.
Okay guys, that's it for now!
