The new editions to the Lush collection of bath and body products are by far the most creative set they have released in a long time. Lush continually delivers new and innovative bath products based on science and creativity.

After revealing their whole line of never before seen bath bombs, ranging from bubble spinners and jelly bath bombs, lush was expected to one-up themselves.

Unfortunately, Lush did not top themselves but instead expanded on their original idea of playfully colored bath products. From, bubble bars to shower gel, here is the down low.

1. The Bubble Brushes

My personal favorite in the new bubble bar collection, this bubble brush paints a cheery yellow color onto an uplifting citrus scented bubbles. I am a long time fan of the citrus scent that Lush gives its products, and this did not disappoint. Full of lime oil, it creates an uplifting, and refreshing atmosphere. Overall, the bar lived up to its scent and to Lush's longtime notoriety for their long-lasting and plentiful bubbles.

Here are some other reviews:

  • "The color is VERY heavy, and very neon yellow...probably get more bubbles than a regular bar..." - Steven
  • "The citrus scent is great...easy to make bubbles..." - NeenerNJ

2. Bubble Spinner | Pink Petitgrain

Once again, Lush releases a new bubble spinner gimmick to draw in the younger crowd, and ultimately try and squeeze the last of what they can after the fad. Although the petitgrain oil releases a sweet, and uplifting scent, it is overshadowed gimmick. At a dollar less than most of the bubble bars that Lush sells, the bubble bar definitely gives a dollar less more product than the rest. If talking about the worth of a product based on its price, a regular bubble bar priced at $12.95 can give three full baths of big, long-lasting bubbles. While the spinner can give maybe a little more than three, but only if you settle for less of a luxurious experience. I will have to wait for other's reviews of the product, but there are currently none.

Honey I Washed the Kids | Body Spray

The honey soap that is a long time favorite of mine and a repeat buy. So obviously when they released the body spray that shares the same scent of bergamot oil that feels cleansing and refreshingly like sweet toffee. To those that are very sensitive to sickeningly sweet scents, or like a long-lasting scent, this is not for you. If you use it after a bath, it can certainly make you feel more luxurious, but for everyday use, I would not recommend.

  • "smells exactly like scrubee...very potent" - Stef
  • "if you let it settle, it is awesome!" - Angie Bear

4. Eyes Right | Mascara

Lush's take on a mascara promises eye-catching definition that is gentle on sensitive eyes using Japan Wax and Wheatgrass Infusion. Unfortunately, the application process is very messy, and easily smudged. The price is rather competitive, but for some select drugstore mascaras that promise the same, Lush might not be able to beat the competition. But, for those who are not into a more natural look like I do, this is not the mascara for you.

  • "Good color but smudges" - rcross
  • "Never going back" - Grad Student

5. Rose Jam | Shower Gel

Previously chided for being a seasonal item, my second favorite, and a cult favorite, is finally back for good. With soothing and balancing rose oil, the shower gel is calming and perfect for everyday use. I would recommend this product for those who are unsure of what to buy from Lush, as well as for seasoned Lushies who have never tried the scent before. Although I am a lover of the scent, just like most Lush soaps, it can be very drying. It is not my go to in the winter, so beware if you have dry skin.

  • " I love the scent but not how dry it makes my skin" - Jess
  • "The scent is addicting!!" - The Nurse
