Really Disappointing Customer Service

I am so disappointed with my experience with Kylie Cosmetics. In fact, I am pissed and I definitely won’t be ordering from that website again. From my experience, I’ve never liked Kylie Jenner in general, but I’ve never hated her. I figured I would give her makeup line a try for the sake of Christmas presents at the very least. I feel like I’ve been played and here’s why.

Christmas was on the way.

It was November 24th 2017, Black Friday, and so I figured I would start some of my Christmas shopping. I don’t really care for makeup, but both my sister-in-law and my sister wear makeup. Neither of them had ever ordered from Kylie and regardless of whether it was because of the price, exchange rate, or bad reviews, I now understand why they had never ordered from that website.

I made a mistake.

Because of the amazing pricing, I completely forgot to calculate the exchange rate. My receipt came out to a total of $66, which was great for me considering the fact that I was getting all three of her liquid lipstick sets (in love with Koko and both the matte and velvet birthday collections) but when I saw my credit card bill was at $88 I instantly had regrets. Don’t get me wrong, I still got some good discounts, but is Kylie really worth it? I could have gotten higher quality stuff at Sephora for my loved ones at the same price. This was the first thing that went wrong in my shopping experience.

No confirmation email?

Any professional, legitimate shopping website will send you some sort of confirmation email when you order something with a tracking number at the very least, but Kylie, nothing. After about a week had passed, I started to worry that maybe my order hadn’t gone through, but after checking my Paypal and credit card activity, I knew my money had been sent so I emailed Kylie Cosmetics and all hell broke loose because I had to send four or five emails just to figure out whether or not my package had been sent and they didn’t even have the decency to track it and tell me where it was. They answered to only some of my consents as though they had just skimmed through my emails.

What really pissed me off:

For international shipping, it says on the website that the package takes 10-15 days and for the price I had to pay, I expect it to come in the minimum amount of days. I checked in my mail box for the better part of three weeks every single day and only received my package on day 16 and to make matters worse, my package was all squished in the corners and the packaging is just pitch black and ugly, whereas in the videos I’d watched, the makeup YouTubers would open pretty pink Kylie boxes. When I emailed them about it, they literally did not care and were just like we only offer refund for damaged products and that it happens. Honestly, don’t waste your money because it is not a high end brand and you won’t get your money’s worth. She hasn’t earned the pricing she’s asking for and her name is on the product but not more than that so please save your money or spend it somewhere else.
